    Etsy FAQ

    Is there an alternative way to track my Etsy order?

    China Parcels is a third-party international order tracker that helps you monitor your Etsy orders more effectively. Unlike the official Etsy website, it consolidates updates from multiple delivery services to give you a complete view of your order’s journey, whether within United States of America or being shipped internationally.

    One key feature is our Scam Detector. If you’re waiting for an order from Etsy and suspect the tracking number might be fake, our system can flag it. This early warning helps you take action quickly, especially if the order is being shipped from United States of America to another country.

    Using China Parcels Tracking Service gives you a reliable and comprehensive way to track your Etsy orders, ensuring peace of mind and staying informed every step of the way.

    How can I track a package from Etsy?

    Suppose the seller has utilized a shipping carrier supported by Etsy and included a tracking number. In that case, you'll find a "Track Package" button next to your order on the Purchases page on Etsy's official site. Click on "Track Package" to get detailed information on your package's current status.

    Additionally, you can find shipping details in the notification emails you receive for your order. You can monitor the delivery status by clicking "Track Package" in the email.

    If the seller used an unsupported shipping carrier but provided a tracking number, you can locate this number by selecting "View Receipt" next to the order on your Purchases page.

    Note that specific international or cross-border shipments might not display tracking information once they leave the originating country. The tracking status should be updated upon arrival in the destination country.

    What if my order doesn't have a tracking number? Not all shipping methods come with tracking. If no tracking number is provided for your item, it is advisable to contact the seller directly for assistance.

    Feel free to use the global parcel tracking system to track your package. It supports tracking for all carriers used by Etsy.

    Understanding Etsy's Purchase Protection Program

    How does Etsy's Purchase Protection Program work?

    Etsy's Purchase Protection program is designed to assist you when something goes wrong with your purchase, providing peace of mind. If you encounter issues such as:

    • The item is not arriving;
    • Receiving a damaged item;
    • Item arriving after the estimated delivery date;
    • Item significantly differing from its description or photos (e.g., wrong material or color);

    You are eligible for a full refund for qualifying orders in these cases.

    If your issue doesn't meet the above criteria, you might still be able to resolve it by reviewing the seller's policies on cancellations, returns, or exchanges.

    How do I get my refund?

    If you believe your order qualifies for Purchase Protection, contact the seller through a Help request. Most issues (90%) can be resolved this way.

    If 48 hours have passed since you contacted the seller without resolution and the estimated delivery date has passed, you can ask Etsy to intervene. You might need to provide photographs of damaged or misrepresented items.

    Once your refund eligibility is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from Etsy.

    Items delayed due to uncontrollable events like carrier strikes, severe weather, war, or civil unrest do not qualify for the Purchase Protection program.

    How can I ensure secure shopping on Etsy?

    When shopping on Etsy, it's important to prioritize security. Here are some tips and advice to ensure a safe and secure shopping experience.

    • Review a seller’s ratings and shop policies before making a purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the seller via Etsy Message;
    • If you notice an unfamiliar charge from Etsy on your bank or credit card statement, review the transaction and contact Etsy support if the charge remains unverified;
    • Learn about Etsy’s Purchase Protection program to get a full refund. If you have contacted the seller and haven’t received a response in over 48 hours, open a case with Etsy;
    • Ensure all transactions are done through Etsy. Etsy does not verify payments outside of Etsy Payments or PayPal;
    • When providing materials for a custom order, be aware that you do so at your own risk;
    • Etsy may use a third-party encryption service, SendSafely, to securely request additional information for transaction verification, such as a government-issued photo ID;
    • Never give your total credit card number, tax identification number, or password in an email, Etsy Message, or over the phone;
    • If you are making a transaction in person, do not speak your credit card information aloud. Be sure to sign for the transaction and request a receipt;
    • Check your credit card statement regularly to track your spending and card activity;
    • Keep monitor of your credit card: who is authorized to use it and who has access to it.
