Future, the global leader in specialist media, today announced the appointment of Michael Peralta as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Returning to the Group in this key leadership role, Peralta will oversee Future’s global commercial organisation spanning a vast portfolio of specialist media brands comprising B2C and B2B.

Peralta, an experienced global media and technology executive, will join the Executive Leadership Team on 3 December 2025, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Kevin Li Ying. This strategic appointment comes as Future accelerates its focus on harnessing the power of AI, first-party data, and Retail Media Networks (RMN) to deliver greater value and future-ready solutions for its partners.

“Future is investing in the best talent and leadership to supercharge our next phase of growth, and Mike’s return is the ultimate signal of this,” said Li Ying. “With his deep understanding of our vast portfolio and proven track record in media and advertising, I have full confidence in his abilities to drive success for our clients, partners, and global audiences.”

“Coming back to Future at such a defining moment is incredibly exciting,” said Peralta. “Under Kevin’s leadership, there’s a powerful vision for where we’re headed – one that’s powered by data, technology, and innovation. Peralta brings a wealth of relevant experience to the CRO role at Future. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager of T-Mobile Advertising Solutions, where he helped establish and scale the company’s omnichannel advertising business.

In addition to his previous tenure at Future, he has held senior executive positions at companies ranging from start-ups to global enterprises, including Criteo, AudienceScience, MediaMath, and AOL/Advertising.com. He is widely recognised for his success in helping advertisers connect with consumers while building sustainable, data-driven, scalable products.

Peralta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and pursued graduate studies in Management and Public Policy at New York University.

T3 Magazine Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of its Hot 100 Feature

Milestone celebrated with special anniversary issue and retro feature

Future, the global leader in specialist media, is celebrating the 20th birthday of the Hot 100 — T3 Magazine’s inaugural list of the hottest tech and trends in the world — picking out the greatest gadgets and innovations, while also looking back at some of the not-so-hot picks over the years.

Since 2005, the Hot 100 has helped guide millions of gadget enthusiasts, becoming the essential list of what’s hot and what’s not in the technology sector.

This year, the Hot 100 is once again packed with innovative tech, with everything from cutting-edge OLED TVs and smart fridge freezers getting a look-in. Over the years, some of the greatest tech ever has graced the pages of the Hot 100, from Panasonic Plasma TVs to the PlayStation 5.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Future tracked down the editor-in-chief of T3 who led the team that originally came up with the Hot 100 concept.

“With so many new gadgets coming out it was a full time job just to keep track, we decided a top 100 was a good way to filter out the best new products from the year for readers,” explained James Beechinor-Collins, Editor-in-Chief of T3, from January 2003 to March 2007.

“When I joined T3 the smartphone didn’t exist, we were on the cusp of a megapixel arms race in digital cameras, the ambition for TVs was bigger, flatter, brighter and the search was on for the one device that would do it all… and the iPhone became that one device.”

“It’s fantastic to see both T3 and the Hot 100 going from strength to strength after 20 years,” said Marc Chacksfield, Content Director of T3. “While the gadgets and innovations in the list have changed, one thing has remained the same: T3’s undying love for tech!”

To celebrate 20 years of the Hot 100, T3 Magazine has created a special retro feature highlighting the gadgets that were showcased in the first Hot 100. The 20th Anniversary Edition of the Hot 100, issue 372 of T3 Magazine, is on sale 11 April.

Last July, Future’s industry-leading technology media brand, TechRadar, got a makeover.

With a new brand identity, an optimized homepage, and site improvements, the strategic relaunch aimed to help audiences more easily find the expert, trusted content relevant to their tech buying needs. 

By June 2024, precisely one year after the strategic relaunch, TechRadar’s US monthly usage as reported by Comscore was up 26% as consumers flocked to the brand for an unrivaled mix of news, opinion, reviews and buying advice across all key consumer tech categories. This momentum extended to August, with monthly usage up 42% year-over-year. 

Driven by strong editorial coverage around key product announcements and shopping moments in the U.S., such as Memorial Day weekend and Amazon Prime Day, the growth was further enhanced by TechRadar’s overhaul of its homepage that re-centered the product categories consumers care about most – from Phones to Cameras to TVs and all points in-between – allowing for easier navigation as users browse the site. 

The year-over-year growth comes as Future celebrates its ranking as the “#1 Tech News Publisher” by Comscore for the third consecutive year. 

“When we gave TechRadar a fresh new look and feel, we took a user-first approach to refocus the site around the expertise our editors and writers bring to consumer technology,” said Paul Newman, Managing Director, Tech at Future.

For eCommerce-related content, TechRadar’s unique page views in the US increased 38% in August compared to 2023. 

Newman added: “We’re thrilled to see the hard work has paid off, with best-in-class storytelling leading to sustained audience growth in the year following and big increases in engagement on our reviews-based content in particular.”

Celebrating 3 decades of trusted technology expertise with special commemorative issue

Future’s trusted UK computing technology magazine, PC Pro, celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special issue. The new issue celebrates the 30 greatest technological advancements since 1994, when the magazine first published.

From iconic moments such as IBM’s Deep Blue defeating Garry Kasparov in 1997, to landmark launches like the iPhone in 2007, PC Pro has been the trusted voice to guide consumers through the changes in technology over the space of three decades.

“Rather than look at old covers, we wanted to genuinely celebrate the march of technology,” said Tim Danton, PC Pro’s editor-in-chief. “If you think back to 1994, few people had even heard of the internet, and PCs were only in beige.”

That’s why sustainability has become a key focus for TechRadar, with an increasing amount of coverage highlighting the companies who are driving positive change and building much-needed environmentally conscious solutions.

This past April, TechRadar launched Sustainability Week, a week-long series focused on telling stories across the tech industry that celebrate, challenge and highlight all things sustainability, from going behind the scenes with companies championing sustainability to sharing tips on how to recycle your tech. 

Now, the brand is readying for its next phase in its focus on highlighting the people and companies at the forefront of sustainable tech.

For the first time this year, in partnership with the environmental impact experts at Seismic, the TechRadar Choice Awards 2024 will add five Sustainability Heroes awards honoring progress to a more sustainable tech landscape. 

And next year, we’re excited to continue our work with Seismic with the launch of the first annual TechRadar Sustainability Awards! T3 announces winners of T3 Awards 2024 in association with Norton

T3, Future’s leading consumer lifestyle website and magazine, has revealed the ultimate lifestyle and technology products for 2024 as part of the T3 Awards. Continuing an 18-year tradition, these are the very best products consumers can buy, as chosen by T3’s panel of expert judges.

NEW AWARDS

The T3 Awards, in association with Norton, recognise over 85 products, awarding the best-of-the-best from action cameras to vacuum cleaners. New awards introduced in 2024 include the Design Awards in association with Future publication, Wallpaper* and the Best Streaming Platform in association with Future publication, ShortList. Sponsoring this year’s awards is Norton, the biggest name in anti-virus and anti-malware software.

HEADLINE AWARDS

The T3 headline awards include Product of the Year won by Bose for their QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, Brand of the Year awarded to watchmaker Christopher Ward, and the Readers’ Choice award voted for by T3 readers, went to Apple’s MacBook Air (M3 chip).
